Tremolo by Laura Kutkaitė, Kristina Morta

PERFORMANCE - PERFORMATIVE LECTURE

Performance-performative lecture "Tremolo" (N-16) about pleasure
Idea author, dramaturg and director: Laura Kutkaitė
Performers: Kristina Morta Paškevičiūtė-Berulienė, Laura Kutkaitė
Choreographer:  Agnietė Lisičkinaitė
Composer and vocal consultant: Jūra Elena Šedytė

The performance-performative lecture "Tremolo", awarded with two Golden Stage Crosses, is coming to Vienna!

The chosen title "tremolo" is interpreted as a vibration - both of pleasure and fear.  Fear of not conforming to the "norms" created or imposed by society in the context of sexual pleasure. Fear of living up to the expectations imposed by others, which we so often embody that we don't even notice.

What has been and is being repeated to us many times? What remains silent, but we would like to know, understand and hear from each other so that each of us can feel normal and healthy in our sexual lives?

The director chooses the format of a performative lecture, which best allows her to touch upon the themes of women's knowledge of the body, sexual health and self-esteem through the main prism of sexual pleasure. She combines research-based information with documentary stories of people who identify themselves as women.

"...an intellectual resistance to the culture of shame, manifesting through a form that is subtle, witty, and simultaneously provocative." (Ugnė Kačkauskaitė, Menų faktūra, 2025).

The production team also features Agnietė Lisičkinaitė and Jūra Elena Šedytė, both returning to the LT.art festival once again.

Performance achievements:
"Sirenos" Festival: International Jury Prize for opening a dialogue between education and the performing arts.
"Kreivės" Festival Prize.
Presented in Poland and Latvia in 2025; in Italy, Estonia, and the Czech Republic in 2026.
Two Golden Stage Crosses (Auksiniai scenos kryžiai): For Best Dramaturgy and Best Interdisciplinary Work.
