HydroNoise — Bodies of Water / Fields of Noise by DeeeVeee

WORKSHOP + COLLECTIVE PERFORMANCE

June 20, 3 PM
Otto Wagner Areal, Pavilion 19, Baumgartner Höhe 1, 1140 Vienna

Sonic Territories presents DeeeVeee’s HydroNoise — Bodies of Water / Fields of Noise in collaboration with LT.art Vienna.

LT.art Vienna is a series of events presenting artists from Lithuania and their works in Vienna, promoting artistic exchange between Austria and Lithuania. In this collaboration, it acts as a connective body between Vilnius, Vienna, and Sonic Territories’ field of experimental sound — opening a space where identity, migration, listening, and noise can be approached as unstable, resonant relations.

DeeeVeee is a psychedelic-noise duo based in Berlin and Vilnius. Two halves, one Mexican, one Lithuanian, join in the creation of DIY instruments, unique Frankenstein monsters of sound gear, which explore the powerful authenticity of radio transmissions, the manipulation of guttural voices recorded with contact microphones and layered through loop taping processing. A raw and deep construction of sounds and noises is the departure point for DeeeVeee’s improvisation skills to travel beyond the boundaries of experimental and avant-garde noise.

HydroNoise approaches water and noise as unstable collective systems — fluid, saturated, and continuously shifting. Working with DIY sound objects, voice, text, breath, contact microphones, field recordings, and material resonance, participants move through a shared process of listening, improvisation, and sonic interaction, forming a temporary field between workshop, rehearsal, and Collective Performance.
